- ATS (automatic transfer switch) is a device for automatic starting of aggregates equipped with controllers that perceive the availability and state of the power source. The switch automatically switches from one source to another in the event of a power outage, i.e. from the city network to aggregate operation,
- The location where the generator will be installed has a significant impact on how the system will be designed and assembled. If the aggregate is installed inside the building in a separate, aggregate room, it can be of the open type. Current regulations regarding noise, emissions, vibrations, etc. should be taken into account. The layout of the room must meet the manufacturer’s requirements for adequate exhaust gas removal, fuel supply, ventilation and servicing. If the genset system is installed outdoors, a housing must be provided to protect against environmental conditions, such as rain, snow, corrosion, flooding, etc. The enclosure will also limit unwanted access.
